Expert Tutor was delighted to take part in FutureFest 2026 at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, an opportunity to meet students, graduates and future professionals while introducing the next chapter in the Expert Tutor journey.

For us, this year’s FutureFest came at an especially exciting time.

‍

‍

ExpertTutor was created as a web-based tutoring platform with a simple ambition: to make it easier for parents and students to access quality tutors while giving tutors the technology and infrastructure they need to deliver excellent learning experiences.

Now, that journey is moving beyond the screen.

‍

Meeting Glasgow's Next Generation at FutureFest

‍

For the Expert Tutor team, FutureFest 2026 was a chance to have conversations with people at the beginning of their professional journeys and to introduce them to a growing education platform with its roots firmly planted in Glasgow.

‍

‍

Our conversations weren't only about tutoring. They were about education, technology, careers and the different ways talented people can contribute to better learning outcomes.

As Expert Tutor grows, building a strong community of tutors is central to what we want to achieve.

‍

Building a Pool of Quality Tutors

‍

At the heart of ExpertTutor.com is our tutor network.

We're creating a pool of quality tutors whom parents and students can find and book for individual tutoring sessions. That same network also gives us the ability to develop scheduled online group classes, creating more ways for students to access subject-specific support.

Quality matters, which is why tutor recruitment isn't treated as something separate from our technology.

We have built the tutor application and interview process directly into the Expert Tutor web application, helping us manage the journey from someone applying to become a tutor through to joining the platform and teaching students.

FutureFest gave us an opportunity to meet potential tutors and talented graduates face-to-face and explain the role they could play in the growing Expert Tutor community.

‍

‍

More Than a Tutor Directory

‍

ExpertTutor.com has been developed as a dedicated web application rather than simply a directory where students find a tutor and then move elsewhere for their lessons.

Our aim has been to bring more of the tutoring experience together in one place.

That includes our own built-in virtual classroom areas, allowing tutors and students to conduct online lessons through the Expert Tutor platform without needing to move their sessions to Zoom or Google Meet.

This infrastructure gives us the foundation to develop both one-to-one tutoring and scheduled online group learning while continuing to improve the experience for students, parents and tutors.

‍

Our First Physical Tuition Centre in Glasgow

‍

While technology gives Expert Tutor the ability to connect tutors and students online, we also recognise the importance of face-to-face learning.

That's why opening our first physical Expert Tutor centre in Glasgow represents such an important milestone for us.

It also marks an important evolution of the Expert Tutor model.

We're no longer thinking about online and face-to-face tutoring as two completely separate experiences. Our goal is to develop an education platform capable of supporting both.

A student may benefit from regular face-to-face tutoring at our Glasgow centre. Another may need the flexibility of an online private tutor. Others may benefit from scheduled group classes alongside their individual learning.

Expert Tutor's growing infrastructure gives us the opportunity to bring these different approaches together.

‍

Supporting Glasgow Students Across the Scottish Curriculum

‍

Our Glasgow centre is being developed around the real educational needs of local students and families.

This includes tutoring and academic support for primary pupils as well as secondary students working towards National 5, Higher and other SQA qualifications.

Families looking for a maths tutor in Glasgow, support with English or sciences, or more general academic guidance can speak to our team about the tutoring options available.

For parents searching for face-to-face tutoring in Glasgow Southside, our Battlefield Road location also provides a convenient local base where they can meet the Expert Tutor team and learn more about the support available.

‍

The Next Chapter for Expert Tutor

‍

FutureFest 2026 was one more step in what we hope will be a much bigger journey.

‍

‍

We're building our tutor community. We're continuing to develop ExpertTutor. We're expanding the ways students can learn online. And, with our first physical centre now in Glasgow Southside, we're creating a local home for Expert Tutor for the first time.

For students, parents and tutors in Glasgow, we'd love you to be part of what comes next.
